Tuesday 8/30 -- Introduction, policies, intro quiz. If absent collect the policies and syllabus. Take them home to be signed by parent/guardian.
Wed. 8/31 -- Map Review for the Quiz on continents and oceans. Cartography work with lattitude and longitude, finding things on the globe. Get a copy of the plate tectonics map (p. 37 in text for map)
Thursday 9/1 -- What are the five themes of geography. If absent read p. 5-9 and describe the five themes of geography.
Friday 9/2 -- Quiz on the continents/oceans. Complete work on five themes. Discussion of plate tectonics and mountain buildings.
Economics
Tuesday 8/30 -- Policies and Syllabus. There is a half sheet of paper to return. Begin work on the goods and services economic study. Interviews are due on Wednesday.
Wednesday 8/31 -- Complete data collection and analysis on good and services project. Student groups will work together to analyze data, report conculsions and make predictions. If absent: Turn in interview data with simple analysis and reference to the hypothesis.
Thursday 9/1 -- Chapter 1 Vocabulary. (Books were checked out)
Friday 9/2 -- Finished presentations on Chapter 1 vocabulary. Vocabualry review puzzles were handed out. They are due on Wednesday 9/7 (Day of vocab QUIZ).

Wednesday 8/31 -- Worksheet on Sumer. Need text to complete.
Thursday 9/1 -- Introduction to Egypt -- Fun Quiz. (no points). If absent: Get the Egypt Circle and complete according to the directions.
Friday 9/2 -- Map of Egypt and notes on the Old Kingdom. There is a worksheet to complete for note taking. These notes are the basis for the quiz on the Old Kingdom on Wed. 9/7
