Wed. 8/30 -- Map projections PP (powerpoint) and a chart comparing various map projections with advantages and disadvantages. HW: Print a map showing data you find interesting -- thematic to climate.
Thur. 8/31 -- Sign-into books and check out books. Contemporary map making and GIS software introduction. HW: log-in to your book and read pages 5-13.
Fri. 9/1 -- Library -- making maps with ARC GIS software. If you do not finish in class it is homework for the weekend. Due Tuesday 9/5.

Wed. 8/30 -- Analyze data on goods and services, compare to your hypothesis and write a conclusion. Class introductions.
Thur. 8/31 -- Chapter 1 vocabulary -- some time to make mini-posters and then we will begin presentations.
Fri. 9/1 -- Finish presentations, book log-on and access. Vocabulary puzzle.
