Mon. 3/4 -- Lecture on the Pax Romana, Students will work on a graphic organizer on the Fall of Rome and the Legacies of the Roman World. Essentially choose four causes for the fall of Rome and DESCRIBE them with two sentences. Add two legacies of the Roman World -- mimimum of three sentences. I do a table with four and two in class. p. 173-183 for information.
Tue. 3/5 -- Finish the graphic organizer. Watch and take notes form Story of Mankind section on the fall of Rome. Discuss factors for the fall of Rome.
Wed. 3/6 -- Qz: Fill in the blank quiz about the fall of Rome. Group project comparing Rome and Greece. We will discuss legacies from both civilizations. Begin review for test.
Thur. 3/7 -- Test Review
Fri. 3/8 -- Rome Test
Geography
Mon. 3/4 -- Parade of Flags. Students will each be assigned a country in Russia and the Republic and do a short research collection. We will review all of the countries as a summary activity.
Tue. 3/5 -- Qz on Russia and the Republic map. Review worksheet out.
Wed. 3/6 -- Finish review, correct and complete a review activity
Thur. 3/7 -- Test on Europe and the Russian Republics. Begin map on the Middle East.
Fri. 3/8 -- Finish map on the Middle East. Read pages 487-490 outloud. Discuss the place of Arabia.
Art History
Mon. 3/4 -- Finish notes on Napoleon. Video biography on Napoleon.
Tue. 3/5 -- Open note T/F quiz on Napoloen. Lecture on Neoclassical art (yes we will see even more of Napoleon looking quite grand).
Wed. 3/6 -- American Artist research projects. Partners will work on a short powerpoint on an American artist from this time period and our next (Realism). Work time in the library.
Thur. 3/7 -- AC: 37-47 DUE Rococo/Natural/Neoclassical. Romantic Art Lecture.
Fri. 3/8 -- Library to finish American artist powerpoint projects. Due today unless there is a serious issue. Projects may be e-mailed until Saturday at noon.
