Mon. 9/24 -- DVD: Population Paradox: India, How to use gapminder.org and homework using gapminder to look up trends in life expectancy and TFR.
Tue. 9/25 -- Grade gapminder assignment. Small group activity on population pyramids (this has no make-up assignment, but students should look at some pyramids to analyze trends. HW: Graphing CDR and CBR in Sweden and Mexico (assignment on google drive).
Wed. 9/26 -- Lecture on the demographic transition model -- C2K3 (p. 56-57) Using the graphs from last night's homework students will answer questions about the DTM in Sweden and Mexico. Handout on the vocabulary crossword puzzles. HW: Finish any questions as necessary.
Thur. 9/27 -- Intro TEDtalk on "Global Population: Box by Box" by Hans Rosling. PP notes on Birthrates and Malthus C2 K3 (p. 58-63). Note:the internet went out in the afternoon, so not everyone was able to watch the Ted Talk. city-wide interruption with Chapter.
Fri. 9/28 -- Map Day #3 Europe. HW: Finish the map of Europe. Maps on Google Drive.

Tue. 9/25 -- Grade reading guide on prices, Skits about prices to review concepts. Students with excused absences will be excused.
Wed. 9/26 -- QZ: Chapter 6 (open note). Partner project on creating an economic model. Students will review demand, supply, prices and elasticity. Due Thursday.
Thur. 9/27 -- Menti-com word cloud on monopoly class discussion. Reading on Competitive structures, Chapter 7, Lesson 1 p. 182. Worksheet due tomorrow.
