AP Human Geography
AP Test Registration DUE by 2/28 or a big late fee!
Mon 2/26 -- Short slide show project on the role of women in agriculture.  The directions are posted on the google classroom.  If you are absent pick three of the boxes and do a shorter slide show.  Do a mix of challenges and successes. This is a one day project -- keep the slides short. Due 2/27.
Tue. 2/27 -- Agricultural markets and Von Thunen.  We have a slide show on the Von Thunen model and an activity to complete.  Read page 378-379 in the text.
Wed. 2/28 -- Increasing the World's Food Supply.  Watch a TED talk "Four fish we are overeating" by Paul Greenberg.  How are we stressing the oceans and how can aquaculture help? Take notes.
Begin worksheet/chart on ways to increase food production.
Thur. 3/1-- Discuss the ideas on food production.  Look at data on food waste, increasing farming productivity, GMO's and sustainability.  How will we feed people in 2050?  Notebook #8 DUE
Fri. 3/2 -- Agriculture review day.  -- NOTE our Agriculture test will include review from chapter 4. Study both chapters 10 and 4.

Monday -- Agriculture Unit Test

Economics 
Mon. 2/26 -- Movie "Tucker a Man and His Dream"
Tue. 2/27 -- finish > Movie "Tucker a Man and His Dream".  Video response due Wednesday.
Wed. 2/28 -- What are market failures?  Newspaper project finding examples of types of market failures and explaining how they fit the definition of market failure.  Tucker movie response due today by 3 p.m.  It counts as an assignment and a stamp.  Do it!
Thur. 3/1 -- Webquest on Regulatory Agencies. Students will explore the U.S. regulatory agencies and what they do in a web-based assignment.  Students will work in partners because there are only 13 agencies to split up :)
Fri. 3/2 -- Digital monopolies -- What is going on with Netflix, Google, Amazon and Apple?  Why are they in court for monopoly practices?  Reading and discussion.
