World Geography
Mon. 10/31 -- Worksheet on the landforms of S. Asia, two sides.  We also discussed and read about environmental issues.  Absent students need to get the worksheet and do the questions. p. 551-555 and p. 560-563.
Tues. 11/1 -- Interlocking Ven diagram on the religions founded in India.  There is a ven diagram to fill in and a sheet with information on religions in India.
Wed. 11/2 -- Watch Gandhi
Thur. 11/3 -- Finish Gandhi.  Homework: Complete the fill in the blank worksheet on the history of India.  p. 567-572.  Study for the Quiz.
Fri. 11/4 -- Quiz on South Asia.  Map was returned on Tuesday.  Notes on issues in South Asia.

Economics
Mon. 10/31 -- Money and Monetary Standards worksheet.
Tue. 11/1 -- Video -- Modern Marvels US Mints.  Most of this information is covered in the history lecture.  See Wed.
Wed. 11/2 -- Lecture on the history of banking.  Pairs of students then turned the lecutre and video information and worksheet information into a timeline on the history of banking.  It needs 12 events.  Explain why five are important.
Thur. 11/3 -- Project on types of banks and ban services.  Watch a 60 Minutes video "Your bank has failed."  Discuss the role of the FDIC.
Fri. 11/4 -- Federal Reserve Chart, Responsibilities and structure of the Fed.  Video: "Eye of the Storm."

Ancient Medieval
Mon. 10/31 -- Notes on the history of China.  Additional notes on the Great Wall and Shi Huangdi's tomb from Engineering an Empire.
Tue.  11/1 -- Worksheet on the Han Dynasty.
Wed. 11/2 -- Chart comparing Rome and China (group activity). Quiz on China.
Thur. 11/3 -- Video on the history of Islam called "Empire of Faith."  Covers the history of the founding of Islam through Mohammad's return to Mecca.   Notes from the video.
Fri.  11/4 -- Reading from the Qur'an.  Reading about the Dome of the Rock p. 266.  Worksheet on the Rise of Islam.  Vocabulary work for the Quiz on Monday.
